AUDITION COACHING

One of my favorite tasks is matching actors with songs or monologues. I have a large database in my mind and on my computer!

Once we decide on choice of material, we can work on a song/monologue interpretation that is unique to you. We also will cover basic do’s and don’ts of the audition process.

  • Sessions Offered

Frequently Asked Questions

During our first lesson we will lay out basic principles and concepts for our work together. I will assess the goals that you want to achieve and determine how I can help you attain them.

For three decades and counting I have tackled some of the most demanding roles in musical theatre. From such lyrical soprano roles as Lily in The Secret Garden to dramatic belting roles as Grizabella in Cats. I have developed a voice and acting technique that is extremely unique, built on the foundations of Kristin Linklater, The Stanislavski Method and the Alexander Technique. Together with the training of various teachers and performing experience, I have developed a method for helping students become aware of and eliminate habitual patterns that hinder freedom of voice and singing.
I hold my BFA in Acting from Boston University.

Payment for sessions is required at least 48 Hours before the class time, otherwise the studio can’t guarantee your session time. We bill on a weekly cycle. We accept payment through VENMO. A reminder through the VENMO APP will be sent out the week before class. If a student cancels a session at least 24 hours before, then a makeup will be scheduled. Makeups are not allowed to be used towards payment of new sessions unless the problem was on the studio’s side.
After payment is made a zoom link will be created and emailed.

All sessions are currently taught on the zoom platform online. Therefore the connection the student has to the internet is critical. If at all possible, it is suggested that you use a line plugged directly into your router. I have this on my end thereby creating the best connection possible. The next best way is to be as close to your wireless router as possible to avoid a bad connection.
Placement of your camera is also something to consider. Please be at eye level with the top of head to mid torso in the frame.
